It’s Back……….
On Friday, 17th March we will be holding the BICTON PRIMARY SCHOOL WORLD’S GREATEST SHAVE AND COLOUR HAIR DAY to support the Leukaemia Foundation.
We invite all students (Kindy – Year 6) to show their support by having their hair coloured or for those extra brave, to shave their hair. If you have a ponytail 25cm or longer you can get it cut and donate the hair to make wigs.
All our students are asked to bring a $2 gold coin donation to have their hair coloured with hairspray. Please come to the undercover area from 7.50am – 8.25am to have your hair coloured by our staff. (Our year 3 students will have their own special hair colour session at 12.05pm with the admin team and teachers. The reason for this is because they will have their NAPLAN testing with headphones on before 12.00pm). Year 3 students will receive a connect notice with more details about their details.
Our school community is invited to come along and for our assembly at 1.45pm where we will have staff shave those students’ hair who register to do so. We will have some staff members out the front at assembly to have their hair coloured. Two student names will be drawn out of a hat to spray Ms Woodhouse’s hair at assembly.
All money raised will go to the Leukaemia Foundation. You are also welcome to donate to this worthwhile cause on the Bicton Primary School World’s Greatest Shave page. http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/bictonprimaryschool2023
We believe this is a fun way to help support a worthwhile charity and previous years have shown us that our community supports this initiative.
Please email Megan if your child wishes to nominate to have their hair shaved. Staff will be shaving the student’s hair with a “number 1” comb. Student’s parent must be present when the shave occurs. Please email bicton.ps@education.wa.edu.au if you wish to register your child for the shave or 25cm or longer ponytail cut.
We look forward to this community event to help support the Leukaemia Foundation.
